they are a fun & beautiful family…i have known milo and his mom, kelley, for a few years now, sophie and milo are friends from school, and it was SO nice meeting the rest of the crew!

i truly enjoyed working with them.  felix is kind, relaxed and a very mature 7-year old, milo is fun and playful, plus he has a smile to die for

- WHAT’S THE HARDEST THING ABOUT BEING A KID

F- having to listen to your mom and dad all the time

M- having listen to you if I get candy or not

- WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH ONE MILLION DOLLARS?

F- use it wisely. Buy a really cool car like a Porsche and buy 6000 toys.

M- spend it all on candy. Actually I would give it to people who don’t have any money and with the rest than I’d buy candy.

- WHAT’S A POLITICIAN?

F- for once I don’t know something.

M-  we don’t know.

- WHAT’S FACEBOOK?

F- it’s like where you do all those research things and stuff. And you say I’m going to put that on Facebook

M-  it’s something you order online.

- HOW DID YOUR MOM AND DADDY MEET?

F-

M-  you were pulling in to your new apartment and dad was walking his dog.

-WHAT AGE YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE AND WHY?

F-  20. Because then I would be on my own

M-  170. Because I’d be older than Papa and you and Daddy and Grammie.

- WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE AN AMERICAN?

F-  you mean to be a Native American?

M-  to protect our state.

- WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?

F-  I haven’t decided that yet. I might want to be an Army.

M-  armies don’t get lots of money

F-  you don’t need money to be happy.

M-  i want to be a chiropractor. So I can get money for my family.

the Iligans are cool, they are a very smart couple (both are scientists) and very, very humble and laidback.

baby martin just joined them, he is a baby who has tons of character, he lets mom and dad knows what he wants, for sure.

he looks into your eyes with interest, i think he is REALLY into faces, especially the eyes, it amazed me, just because he was so new to the world

what a blessing it is working with people like Melanie, Roger and little Martin.

i enjoyed every bit of it. hope your little man is sleeping through the night by now.

i have this thing i love to do with my kids, i record mini-interviews with them, i ask random questions that they, with their little, fascinating minds respond to in such cute ways, every time .

their answers fill my heart with joy.

so i thought it’d be a great thing to do with my clients and post it on my blog

Hanna is happy, she is happy ALL the time, she is comfortable in any situation and with everyone , she looks right into your eyes and smiles. during our session she was just learning how to walk and fell, hurt herself and cried, but just for a moment because she had to get back to her “happy mode”.

there is no interview with hanna, yet, so i’ll tell you few random things about her:

she is 1

has a brother that loves her and shows it.

she can stand on her big toe better than any professional ballerina.

her grace has made the Barwick home a perfect place.

she can be bribed with little fruit puffs.

she is absolutely adorable

Shay and Josh, meeting you and working with you throughout these years has been a GREAT pleasure, you better keep having babies, so i keep capturing these beautiful memories for you.

some time ago, on one of those long trips that i take navigating the web, i had the fortune to find this BEAUTIFUL story that i have since saved in my fav bookmarks. i know ideally it’d have been perfect to share with you on fathers day, yes i’m late, but not too late, technically this is father’s week, isn’t it? at least at our house it is . anyway, here is the story…

after his mother died, photographer Phillip Toledano recorded his father’s finals years through pictures, unbelievably touching story, one of the best i’ve seen, i won’t say much, you enjoy it…

this sweet family is the gerhkens, i had the absolute pleasure to work with them and loved it, chelsea is a doula here in greensboro, she mentioned that over the phone and when i met her in person i was quite impressed, excuse my ignorance in the field, but i always thought doulas were ladies with white, long hair that help deliver your baby at home, but i was obviously wrong, you’ll see when you see chelsea in the images below.

these are few of my favorites from our photo-session, they truly are a reflection of their laid-back, loving spirit.  thank you chelsea and emmett for all of your kindness.

Finley could be easily be working for crewcuts, he has the face, the hair and the energy (and the photographer of course, hello crewcuts). in the meanwhile i’m enjoying that he is working exclusively with me …

for those who visit my blog often, you know that these little faces (well, 2 are not so little anymore) are regulars around here, and around our house too … this time we introduce a new little one, who came unexpectedly and has delighted us all, his name is alex, he is 5-months old and like his big brother, he hit the lottery with those fantastic blue eyes…

rachel and jose and their party of 5 joined us for the StudioMini sessions event we threw 2 weeks ago as part of our new “Studio-PhotoShoot” offering, these sessions take place at this AMAZING photo studio near downtown greensboro, and the kids seem to love it as much as the adults! you’ll see why.

dear villalbas thank you all for making it so easy and so fun for me. working with you is ALWAYS a pleasure.

…march is here and that of course means the ncaa basketball tournament, of which we are so lucky to host some of the games here in our dear greensboro…i saw this article the other day listing the most popular pet names that are shared with this year’s teams…check it out to see if your pet made the cut

every tuesday, during the spring and summer, luca’s class works for an hour in their vegetable garden (isn’t that so cool?) anyways, today he pulled out of his jacket, with lot of pride and excitement, these 3 mini carrots, their were so so cute i thought they deserved a post …they are the size of baby carrots but with the look of regular “bugs bunny” carrots, i’ve never seen that before, am i wrong? or just excited because luca was part of growing them and they are just regular carrots, maybe that’s it, but i still wanted to share them with you

you can tell by my son’s fingernails that either he has been working in the garden or sticking his hands in the chocolate cookie jar…
