the Iligans are cool, they are a very smart couple (both are scientists) and very, very humble and laidback.

baby martin just joined them, he is a baby who has tons of character, he lets mom and dad knows what he wants, for sure.

he looks into your eyes with interest, i think he is REALLY into faces, especially the eyes, it amazed me, just because he was so new to the world

what a blessing it is working with people like Melanie, Roger and little Martin.

i enjoyed every bit of it. hope your little man is sleeping through the night by now.

i have this thing i love to do with my kids, i record mini-interviews with them, i ask random questions that they, with their little, fascinating minds respond to in such cute ways, every time .

their answers fill my heart with joy.

so i thought it’d be a great thing to do with my clients and post it on my blog

The Barwick’s are one of the sweetest families i have ever met and one of the most popular on this blog (you can see them here, here, here & here).

Hanna is happy, she is happy ALL the time, she is comfortable in any situation and with everyone , she looks right into your eyes and smiles. during our session she was just learning how to walk and fell, hurt herself and cried, but just for a moment because she had to get back to her “happy mode”.

there is no interview with hanna, yet, so i’ll tell you few random things about her:

she is 1

has a brother that loves her and shows it.

she can stand on her big toe better than any professional ballerina.

her grace has made the Barwick home a perfect place.

she can be bribed with little fruit puffs.

she is absolutely adorable

Shay and Josh, meeting you and working with you throughout these years has been a GREAT pleasure, you better keep having babies, so i keep capturing these beautiful memories for you.

this sweet family is the gerhkens, i had the absolute pleasure to work with them and loved it, chelsea is a doula here in greensboro, she mentioned that over the phone and when i met her in person i was quite impressed, excuse my ignorance in the field, but i always thought doulas were ladies with white, long hair that help deliver your baby at home, but i was obviously wrong, you’ll see when you see chelsea in the images below.

these are few of my favorites from our photo-session, they truly are a reflection of their laid-back, loving spirit.  thank you chelsea and emmett for all of your kindness.

Finley could be easily be working for crewcuts, he has the face, the hair and the energy (and the photographer of course, hello crewcuts). in the meanwhile i’m enjoying that he is working exclusively with me …

every tuesday, during the spring and summer, luca’s class works for an hour in their vegetable garden (isn’t that so cool?) anyways, today he pulled out of his jacket, with lot of pride and excitement, these 3 mini carrots, their were so so cute i thought they deserved a post …they are the size of baby carrots but with the look of regular “bugs bunny” carrots, i’ve never seen that before, am i wrong? or just excited because luca was part of growing them and they are just regular carrots, maybe that’s it, but i still wanted to share them with you

you can tell by my son’s fingernails that either he has been working in the garden or sticking his hands in the chocolate cookie jar…

i’m so pleased to start my year posting my session with the “super cool” dunlops. lola is one of sophie’s bff’s from the guilford school and lori (her mom) is also one of my fav moms from her class,
so i was so happy to have the chance to work with them, well really it was not work, for me it was more like having a drink with friends while photographing them around, the girls play so well together and are both such fun kids, they weren’t shy with me for one second, especially josie who LOVES to pose for the camera, lori and joe have a great chemistry which is always so refreshing to witness,  plus they have the 2 most beautiful dogs i have ever seen… i really like this family, i want to hug them every time i see them.

sweet Lola (i want to change my name to Lola)… these 2 have a magical OBSESSION with their dad… ( i have to say he is very lovable) they truly enjoy each other… sweet josie… the gorgeous dogs lola’s face, just priceless. joe and lori, i enjoyed every minute of our session together, thanks for your trust, your kindness, for making me feel at home and for that great wine too . You have a absolutely awesome family  i know love too. i’m so glad you moved to greensboro and that i have the chance to be your photographer and friend. see you around and sorry for the delay on this post. love aris

Carter is an ADORABLE baby, honestly he is one of those babies you would love to take home with you after the photo-session is finished, ashley, his mother, was worried that he wouldn’t be in his best mood since we scheduled the session during his cranky time of the day…well, here is how he welcomed me (a total stranger with a big black thing in her hands pointing it right in his face)…

these are a few of his favorite things (so far)…

“books”, not only does he enjoy books, but he already has his favorites and when he’s being read to, he pays absolute attention and flips the pages himself when he is ready for the next one, like a little man.

“twinkle twinkle little star”, good that i had mastered this song with my children, because it was a hit and made carter smile like this…

“snack time”, of course, who doesn’t right?

and last but not least, “mommy and daddy”…

ashley and scott, you have such a sweet and beautiful baby boy. thanks very much for all your kindness, it was great meeting you all.

my sophie is in the 3-year olds class at a great pre-school here in greensboro, alison (together with mrs rosemary) is her teacher and i’m SO HAPPY i take my little girl every morning and leave her in this woman’s hands, she is wonderful, she is one of those women every girl would want to be friends with, ALWAYS with a great smile, always with something nice to say, has a great, positive vibe (plus she is beautiful and effortlessly stylish), so when she asked me to photograph her family i was beyond thrilled. i have to say that working with them was a treat and a pleasure.

…and she is so precious and such a fun kid to work with and to be around and i can’t believe time has passed so fast.  if you know me, you know i love this girl, she  has literally grown in from of my lens, what can i do . this time we did a beach session and we had a blast, but i do not want to type too much becuase stephanie has been waiting for this way too long.

stepahie, mitchell and gaby, it was once again a super pleasure seeing you all, thanks for the trust and the 3 1/2 hour drive to do this session. here are some of my favs.

one of my favorite things in my business is seeing, through my camera, kids growing up (usually so fast!). Here is what i mean, i couldn’t believe it when i stepped in the house, that this little baby is now this handsome boy, he is such a card, a lovely boy, and without a doubt a very special part of the family.

Once again it was a pleasure to photograph the simmons, this time i got to meet carlos, who wasn’t  around on my past visits, he is a very kind, down-to-earth (and handsome) guy, nice meeting you carlos, hope you like your pictures, later you’ll see the one with your new car. for now here are some of my favorites from that afternoon. enjoy them!
