this is a post that has been waiting on my desk for a long time (long, long time), between summer outings, sessions, retouching, 2 kids under 4 and no summer camps i just didn’t have much time to devote to it.  then came school, kids b-day parties, halloween, vacation, new sessions and more new sessions (thank god), this post remained on my to-do list for my complete attention. i want to apologize to all of the great people we had the pleasure to meet in that event for waiting so patiently for this post, especially to our gracious hosts!

i have to explain to those of you that follow my blog that mick and i were invited by this great guy named allyn and his beautiful and very kind girl helyn, last april to be part of a 3 day derby event in kentucky. it was such a great experience, from the moment we arrived to the moment we said good-bye.  it was one of those magical times when the people you met, the environment you were in, and the experience itself becomes a lasting memory!

the rossatos, there is an endless list of the good things i can say about them, but i will make it short because i know they are anxious to see this sneak peek of their session…

they are TERRIFIC neighbors

they make beautiful kids (at least we have the proof of one)

they make great “asados”

they have a great sense of humor.

one of them have a mother we want to steal.

they all wear TOMS.

they, like us, are a bicultural family.

they beat us in corn-whole.

we beat them in getting the trash out on Sunday nights

we all hope argentina wins the next world cup.

they are our dear friends.

martin, lesley and finn, it was a real pleasure working with you again, thanks a lot for waiting for this so patiently .

i know you all will agree with me, this little girl is just pure beauty, she looks like an antique doll (isn’t she?), her name is lauren and she is in the same class with sophie. photographing her was so delightful but  picking the final images was hard because she looks SO cute on almost every shot…. soon, lauren is going to have a baby brother and mommy wanted to capture this special time with her before their new baby arrives…

another beautiful family, another beautiful session…. i love when i have images like the ones on this post to show you all, Alana and Ethan are such sweet, playful and fun kids, capturing great shots was just easy with them, she was ready for me and my camera from minute one, he was shy at first but soon was all over the place trying to get my attention (so sweet)…Barbara i know you are very excited to see this, so i’ll be brief, just wanted to thank you both for letting me photograph your beautiful family, i wish you the best in florida, i’m sure you’ll LOVE it there. see you all soon.

ok, i want to start by saying that i can’t write too much because this family has been waiting for this post FOREVER, all they want now is seeing their images. but honesty i do not need to say much, all you have to do is to look at the pictures to realize what a great family they are. the “villalbas” are our good friends and incredible neighbors, remember them here?…

now i just want to tell you rachel and jose that i love you, i love your family and i love living right next to you. enjoy your pictures

the little baby boy with the deepest blue eyes in the world? look how big and handsome he is,  we got together again to celebrate with a photo-session for his first year of age and i can’t express enough how proud i am to be part of it, shay and josh are one of my kindest clients, i love love love working with them, and i love my little devin. thank you guys for your patience, here are some of my favs from your session, you have an awesome family….

lily has the most spontaneous, happy and sweet personality of a girl of her age that i’ve ever seen.  she was so comfortable in front of the camera, and with me, that it seemed like we knew each other for years.  when we said good bye she gave me a big and sincere hug…that stole my heart forever. i also have to mention that she is a very lucky girl, she belongs to the one of most loving families i’ve have had the please to work with, they were so amazing throughout the whole session it was easy to capture their love with my camera (i’m sure you will agree with me). anthony is her brother, he is a very centered and very, very kind guy who is 15 years older than lily, and as you can tell is a musician.

i can’t say enough about the jordans. the love that they show for each other, their well behaved kids and their kindness is what touched me the most….here i leave you with some of my favs from that afternoon.

i would photograph this family every day…

these 3 beauties are the cousins of devin, one of my sweetest  little clients.  blake is the new addition to their family and i can tell you everyone in the house is crazy about him, it is so lovely to see nick and jarica taking care of their new baby brother, it made my heart melt….this i’m sure will melt yours…

i think there isn’t anything cuter than the little parts of a baby’s body…

these are all so genuine, makes me want a third child ….

oh spring, how much i love you, i do love you so much….

i love your colors, i love your smells, i love how you dress up our garden, i love the sweat on my kids hair and the sandals on their feet, i love your trees and i even love your pollen. we all have been wanting you so much, please stay longer this year.
